Community CPD Workshop

Getting Older? Let’s talk about it.

Sharing your concerns could help us to help you

Saturday 04th June 2016 – facilitated by Alessandra Merizzi

The event is open to everyone who would like to explore neuro-psychological and emotional issues about ageing.

This is a community workshop that wants to give you some information and practical tips about ageing and would like to hear your voice about your experience of getting older. Ageing is one of the main phases of our life with its variable characteristics. Most of the times our cultures and societies remind us of the negative aspects of getting old. In this way we tend to acquire and potentiate false beliefs that undermine our self-esteem that then will negatively affect our skills. For this reason, it is important to get informed about the real characteristics of normal ageing in order to avoid being influenced by false beliefs, so we can live up to our maximum potential. Hearing your views will help professionals like me to better understand your needs and consider the possibility of setting up new support activities.

The aim will be to explore some aspects of ageing both by presenting research, studies and my professional experience, and by hearing your personal input. It will include a theoretical presentation, discussion and experiential work.

Cost: £15.00 (Early bird £10.00 payable by 30st April 2016) Times: 10am – 1pm

Payment methods: by cheque, or through the website.

Also send in (or write on the web booking form) a paragraph or two about yourself and your interest in this workshop, plus your contact details and email address. Some reduced fee places may be available.  Please enquire if you think you may be eligible. Refunds will only be given if for any reason we are unable to offer you a place or if the workshop is cancelled.

A certificate of attendance will be given out at the end of the day.
