Whilst the ‘presence’ of the counsellor/therapist is unquestionably a powerful and essential quality of any therapeutic relationship it remains difficult to define. Working experientially we will explore how the willingness of the therapist to bring themselves fully and authentically into dialogic relationship with their client enriches the experience for both. We will also look at what enhances and limits our ability to ‘be there’. There will be time for theory presentation, discussion, supervision and some experiential work
