Tuning in to vitality

Tuning in to vitality

With Shirley Summers and Mark Thomas

Shirley and Mark will be looking at vitality, novelty, energy and
creativity, the points at which we are most alive.
This course is suitable for therapists, counsellors, trainees and those
who have been involved in their own personal development.
If we are truly in touch with our vitality, freshness and creativity are
inevitable.
So says the seminal writer and leading developmental psychologist,
Daniel Stern. In his final book, Forms of Vitality, he explored dynamic
experience in the Arts, Psychotherapy and infant developmental
movement.
How then can we pay attention to this creative lively energetic potential,
which remains largely “hidden in plain view”?
How can we use these ideas to increase our understanding of how we
can best relate: to ourselves, to one another, and to the world?
Using movement, sound and voice, we will be looking to work in ways
which support and challenge us to connect to our vital selves. We will
be using Stern’s work to support us in looking at these questions.
